CAD/CAM
The company uses two systems for manufacturing parts. One of them is the CAD system SpaceClaim. Nowadays, most technical documentation for products is provided in both 2D drawing and 3D model formats. This program is used for creating semi-finished products or in cases of various modifications and repairs needed for subsequent processing in the CAM system. SpaceClaim is also used in situations with insufficient drawing documentation, where unannotated dimensions are directly measured on the model, avoiding prolonged machine downtime and resolving the issue quickly. Additionally, it allows for the design of new parts and the creation of their drawing documentation, which is frequently used for manufacturing custom fixtures.
The other system is Edgecam, a CAM system used to create machining programs for CNC machines, specifically for Akira Seiki and Optimill F105 machines. These machines are finely tuned with post-processors, making it possible to generate NC code that their control systems can read and execute the desired machining operations created in the program. This software greatly simplifies the programming of more complex-shaped parts. Compared to programming directly on the machine using ISO codes or cycles, programming in Edgecam is faster, more convenient, and allows for better utilization of the machines.
